So... what's new with you? I haven't worked on my Lucy/Nyuu dress in months. I've been busy with work and also I started teaching an arts and crafts class at the local Chinese school in town. My students range from the ages of 5-10, so it's kind of a hassle to come up with something that EVERYONE can do. I taught them how to make Chinese ornaments, which they really liked. I need to buy a home-ec book or something, because every week I'm scrambling to find more ideas of what to do!
Anyway, I hope to be able to attend either JACON or Metrocon (or both?) again this year, but if it comes down to only being able to attend one, I'm going to Metrocon. I noticed Yaya Han will be there, that's so cool. ^_^
I finally uploaded my information about the Li Nezha costume. Enjoy!!! If you have any pictures of me in the outfit, please send them my way!
I'm still working on the Lucy/Nyuu costume, I'm almost done sewing it. After that, all I need to do is to find a decent wig...
Phew... I finally updated my conventions! I haven't updated in so long that I was a little rusty on how exactly my website layout works. I've switched to using Firefox and I realize it looks pretty crappy in Firefox, whereas the layout looks just fine in Internet Explorer. Give me some time to rectify this, as I don't want you to be looking at a crappy-looking website, either.
After having moved to Gainesville, FL, I'm happy to see that this state has no loss of possible Anime conventions to attend. In fact, I attended two last year-- that's twice as many a year as I usually get to go to! Haha! I also met some cool people at the conventions, and formed some strong friendships with them.
The Lucy and Li Nezha pages are not updated yet, but I thought I'd throw the link up there anyway, just so I can eventually upload the page without too much hassle.
For now, enjoy my new convention photos. =}
